World’s Largest Wine Producers
Italy is the world’s largest wine producer, producing nearly 50 million hectoliters in 2022. Italy has a rich viticultural heritage that dates back thousands of years. Each region has unique characteristics reflected in the wines they produce.
With 35.7 million hectoliters of wine production in 2022, Spain is the third largest producer of wine. Spain has become a major player in the global wine industry. Some of the most famous Spanish wines, like Rioja and Tempranillo, are known for their intense flavors and unique regional qualities and have gained widespread recognition worldwide.
