T-Shirt Exports by Country (2022)

The worldwide export of knitted or crocheted t-shirts by all countries amounted to US$56.6 billion in 2022, showing a 19.2% increase over the five years from 2018.

The top five exporters of knitted or crocheted t-shirts are mainland China, Bangladesh, Germany, Türkiye, and Vietnam, collectively generating 47.4% of total international sales.

Cotton is the primary material used in the manufacturing of t-shirts and accounts for $39.7 billion in international sales, while other textile materials account for $16.9 billion in exports.

Asia is the leading continent in t-shirt exports, followed by Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa, and Oceania. Notably, China, Bangladesh, and Germany are among the top countries exporting t-shirts in 2022, with China leading at $9.3 billion, followed closely by Bangladesh.
