Most Billionaires by Country in 2024

The United States has the highest number of billionaires globally, with 813 citizens collectively possessing $5.7 trillion, setting new records. The billionaire class in America has seen a significant increase in their wealth.

They added 97 people who rejoined or joined the ranks, resulting in a $1.2 trillion increase from last year. Some notable newcomers include Taylor Swift, NBA Legend Magic Johnson, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

China has the second most billionaires, with 406 worth $1.3 trillion. However, that’s down from 496 people worth $1.67 trillion last year. 67 Hong Kongers add another $330 billion.

India ranked third with a record of 200 billionaires, including 25 new ones, worth a collective $954 billion, up more than 40% from last year’s $675 billion.
